<span>Dr. Vidya Dhar Pandey, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Botany, Government Post-Graduate College, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, M.Phil. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Ph.D. from Kumaun University, Nainital. Possessing brilliant academic career, he qualified NET in Life Science conducted by CSIR-UGC, and NET in Plant Physiology conducted by Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board. His primary field of research interest covers microbiology and cyanobacteriology. In addition to an edited book, he has published several research papers in national and international journals, and contributed chapters in edited books. He has participated and presented his research work in various national and international conferences. He is the life member of Association of Microbiologists of India. With more than 12 years of experience in his profession, Dr. Pandey has been teaching both undergraduate and post-graduate students, and guiding research scholars for Ph.D. degree. Updated and in-depth knowledge of his subject, coupled with the good knowledge of both physical and chemical sciences, make him a uniquely qualified teacher. </span>

<span>Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Ph.D., is associated with the Centre of Experimental Medicine and Surgery, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (B.H.U.), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh., as a Research Officer. He obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree from Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Dr. Singh has extensive research experience. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Botany, B.H.U., National Centre for Conservation and Utilization of Blue-Green Algae, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, and Institute of Physical Biology, University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic. With varied research interest in microbiology, he has published a wide range of research papers in national and international journals, and contributed many chapters in edited books. He has participated and presented his research work in various conferences. He has been guiding Ph.D. and M.D. students working under his supervision. Additionally, he is engaged in teaching students of B. Pharm.(Ay) at Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U.</span>
