<p>Ingrid Sykes is a Research Fellow at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. She is a past recipient of a UK Wellcome Trust Research Fellowship and has published a number of articles on the cultural and medical history of modern France in journals such as French History, Journal of the History of Medicine and Allied Sciences and Medical History. </p>
